I'm not gonna make it follows Angel. A successful college student filmmaker in his past. Now the years have caught up to him, and he only wishes he can do what he loves. The phrase 'I'm not gonna make it' merely means the film production he is running late to, over the course of a 15 minute car ride the words "I'm not gonna make it" take on a whole new meaning.
