Overview

Though he passed away in 1989, the controversial Orthodox monk Father Arsenie Boca has recently become one of the most popular religious figures in Romania, awaiting sanctification. In Alexandru Solomon’s filmic interplay between reality and fiction, a documentarist arrives at the home of an old Securitate officer who was following the priest 60 years ago, in a quest to film the unfilmable. Part of the story becomes visible, while the rest stays silent, out of the frame.
