Overview

Shruthi Seridaga is based on the novel by Kumuda. It busts the myth of Astrology. Astrology Charts mention first wife of Dr Murthy (played by Dr Rajkumar) would die within an year of marriage. Learning this, TN Balakrishna, Madhavi's father cancels Madhavi's marriage with Murthy. Heartbroken Murthy eventually comes out of grief, marries his teacher's daughter Geetha, who goes on to leave for more than an year and delivers a baby. Purandara Dasa's rhyme sakala grahabala neene sarasijaaksha (God graces each man much more than the planets ever would) is pronounced as the theme.
