For more than four centuries, the history of Romeo and Juliet has been considered an example of a romantic relationship between a man and a woman. However, William Shakespeare modestly kept silent about what kind of drama (and, possibly, tragicomedy) might have turned the relations of the heroes, if not for the finale, which is well known to us.
