Overview

Criminals have kidnapped the daughter of California real estate magnate Ricardo and demand two million dollars. Detective Steve Woodward of the LAPD is assigned to deliver the ransom, but the transaction goes awry, the money is gone and the girl is dead. Accused of being responsible for the failure and perhaps more, Woodward feels compelled to follow up the unjustified accusations with actual criminal action. His plan: a kidnapping. But things turn out differently than planned.
