Overview

In the period before Christmas, Mayor Wolfgang Wöller (Wepper) has to have a 'private audience' with the Pope. Not wanting to go alone, he takes the nun Hanna Jakobi (Hartwig) with him. When he arrives in Rome, however, it turns out that he is not the only one who has been invited. Deeply hurt in his pride, the mayor decides to go home, but a traffic strike thwarts this.
