Overview

Twelve-year-old Alek lives in an orphanage. He does not remember his mother, but believes that she is alive, that he will meet her one day. He secretly writes touching letters to her. When "New" appears in the orphanage, Alek helps him find his way into the new environment. However, he masks his care with rough behavior. The same applies to Anna, the young educator, who instills confidence in him. He entrusts her with the secret of his letters to her mother. The girl, to protect Alek from disappointment, tells him that she has no mother. The injured boy becomes aggressive and withdrawn. She feels lonely after the departure of "New" and the departure of Anna. One day, in a beautiful dream, Alek sees his mother. He runs away from the orphanage at night, but quickly turns back.
