A 58-year-old unemployed sales representative does not want to receive "Hartz IV" benefits. He retreats to a raised hideout in Solling, Lower Saxony, where his emaciated body is found 24 days later. Beyond the tragic individual case, the impressive documentary film addresses the state of mind of a society that defines itself largely through work. It approaches the dead protagonist associatively and with atmospheric music that releases a wealth of emotions.
