Nicholas Markarian, a filmmaker confined to a wheelchair, listens to the radio, tuned to a scientific station, in his apartment in a high-rise project. The program being broadcast concerns space travel. Suddenly, a strange cleric appears, followed by two creatures from Jupiter who are looking for a mysterious mineral that causes madness.
