Trygve Allister Diesen (born 11 July 1967) is a Norwegian film director, producer and screenwriter.
Trygve Allister Diesen graduated from USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles. He started his professional career as a journalist in Kristiansand, Norway in 1986. Diesen has a comprehensive background in screenwriting and directing. He has written and directed advertising and commercial films, as well as music videos. He has also translated plays for theatres. He serves on the board of the Norwegian Film Directors' Guild.
He has written and directed two Norwegian feature films - Hold My Heart and Isle of Darkness. Hold My Heart was Norway's official submission for the 2003 Academy Awards. Diesen was also the creator of the Scandinavian miniseries Torpedo. His first American film Red premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008.
