Lola Mayo is a screenwriter and film teacher. She finds it difficult to make a living from cinema; making a living in cinema is extremely easy.
In the 90s she met Javier Rebollo and stopped writing stories and poems to write films for Lola Dueñas, Carmen Machi and José Sacristán: Lo que sé de Lola (2006), La mujer sin piano (2009) El muerto y ser feliz (2012). He was very happy showing those films at festivals around the world. Rebollo and Mayo have a small production company together with Damián París, Lolita Films, which was born just 25 years ago.
Today, while he continues to write with directors like Pedro Aguilera and Manuel Martín Cuenca, he teaches film students almost every day. Libertad, igualdad, fraternidad is a project she undertakes alone.
