Biography

Mohammadreza Delpak was born in Tehran in 1955 and holds a master's degree (arts degree). Delpak continued his professional work in sound design, composition and sound mixing, and won numerous awards such as the Crystal Simorgh and the Statue of the Cinema House, as well as a memorial statue. He is a member of the Directorate of the Iranian Cinematography Association as a film and stage director. Besides being a film actor himself, he has a history of teaching at the University of Surah, Tehran, and Isfahan, the Young Cinematography Center. Delpak has work with the best directors of Iranian cinema, including Abbas Kiarostami, Asghar Farhadi, Majid Majidi, Jafar Panahi, Dariush Mehrjui, and Reza Dormishian. He has about 100 feature film credits in his career, and since 2016 he has been a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
