Biography

He is a director and screenwriter from Morelia, Michoacán, born in 1994. He studied film at Arte7 - School of Cinema and stage direction at Casazul - School of Performing and Audiovisual Arts. In 2017, he was selected to participate in a film workshop during the Mexico-Germany dual year, taught by Angela Schanelec and Helena Wittmann at the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts (Hochschule für bildende Kunst Hamburg, HFBK). His short films have been screened at festivals such as the Morelia International Film Festival and Shorts México, as well as at international competitions in Germany, Austria, and Italy. Additionally, he directed the first Spanish adaptations of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's radio dramas for the "Radio Fassbinder" series by Radio Educación and the Goethe-Institut Mexiko. He has worked as a casting director in short films and feature films for production companies such as Amondo Cine, Cárcava Cine, Mandarina Cine, Fidelio Films, among others. He is currently writing and developing his first feature film.
