Lars Erik Björkman, also known as Lasse Bjørkmann, born August 8, 1930, in St. Matthew's parish in Stockholm, died April 18, 2016, in Malmö, was a Swedish film producer, writer, and screenwriter. Björkman has written radio plays such as "Trivselmyra story" in 1963; TV plays and stage plays such as "Skandalen" in 1971, "Pampen" in 1972, "I väntan på Bardot" (together with Sigvard Olsson) in 1975; the musicals "Röde Orm" in 1979 and "I vackra drömmars land" in 1980; the TV series "Profitörerna" in 1983 and the musical "Lycksalighetens ö" in 1984. In 2003, together with author Henning Mankell and producer Ole Søndberg, he started the film company Yellow Bird and Ystad Studios in Ystad, which became the start of the Wallander production.
