Biography

Evgeni Mihailov is a Bulgarian director and politician from the Union of Democratic Forces. Initially he studied film directing at VITIZ "Krastyo Sarafov" in 1975, and then graduated in Film Directing at VGIK - Moscow in 1980. He worked in various jobs as a director at the Boyana Cinema Center, chief artistic director of Efir 2, deputy. -Chairman of Ecoglasnost, Director of Boyana Cinema Center and others. Mihailov became best known for filming the so-called "tank cassette". On this tape you can hear Petar Mladenov shouting "Let the tanks come" and as a result he resigned. In the period 1997-2005 he was the director of Boyana Film. There is no information about his pedigree, nor with what protections he left for Moscow - a privilege available only to relatives of party circles that have proven their loyalty to the communist government and the BCP.
