Biography

Ruka Ishikawa is a Japanese actress. Before acting, she was a model while attending Sophia University. She took an interest in acting after taking an acting workshop in college then subsequently joining production company Cheese Film as an actress where she trained for 6 months. Her debut was a stage play "SUGAR WORKS". However, her first appearance on video was in 2019 for "Colorless" as part of an "unfinished movie trailer awards" contest where director Takashi Koyama discovered her on Instagram. The trailer won 1st place which lead to the trailer being turned into a full movie thus also being her movie debut. She won best new actress award from the Japanese Movie Critics Award for her lead role in "Colorless". In 2020, she transferred to Sony Music Artists. (Source: Japanese Wikipedia)
