Biography

Sebastian Klinger is a Swiss-based cinematographer and producer. He lensed numerous projects for Student Academy Award winner Freddy Macdonald, among which “Sew Torn”, a short film executive produced by Peter Spears (“Nomadland”) and acquired by Searchlight Pictures that qualified for the 2020 Academy Awards. Together with Macdonald, he also shot multiple music videos for three time Grammy winner Fantastic Negrito and, most recently, the feature “Sew Torn” starring Eve Connolly (“Vikings”) which premiered at SXSW 2024. Klinger’s other credits also include short films “The Station In-Between” starring Carlos Leal (“Casino Royale”) as well as numerous commercials and web series. As lead visual effects unit Switzerland he contributed to the Netflix series “Contigo Capitan” and, in the camera department, acclaimed Spanish feature “Color Of Heaven” which premiered at San Sebastián International Film Festival. He was part of the ASC Vision Mentorship program under guidance of David Darby, ASC.
