Mike Rutherford was one of the founding fathers of Auto Express in 1988 and remains the title's longest-serving journalist. He has also served time as the Motoring Editor on three national newspapers; a weekly columnist on several other nationals; an international business writer for the Economist Intelligence Unit; and a presenter of over 1,000 radio and television programmes. Currently, he is the Chief Columnist at Auto Express, Co-Chairman & Juror of the World Car Awards programme, and a regular contributor to the BBC, Sky, LBC, talkRADIO, plus other national and international stations. Mike is also a Trustee at the Marcus Rutherford Foundation/Young Adult Cancer Trust.
