After graduating from sungkyunkwan University, Ko Chang Soo worked at the Foreign Ministry and overseas posts as a career diplomat for over 30years. Since 1970s Ko has produced film and video works as an amateur/independent videomaker using a various format. He, as a poet, has produced several pieces of poetic film(cinepoems) and books. He is member of the Korea Writers Association, International PEN Korea Centre, the Korea Film Studies Association.
