Biography

Dylan Lau is an actor from Watertown, South Dakota. In 2018, alongside director Carter Canfield, Lau co-founded the Lausey Films. Both the company’s name and the company’s first show, The Lausey Show, were named after Lau himself. For the television series’ first season, Lau served as the top-billed actor, playing the main character as well as various side characters. However, Lau’s character was killed off in the season finale, diminishing his role to a minor role for the second season. In 2021, Lau returned as a main character in The Grooks (2021), a comedy improv-based show about three detectives. However, Lau’s character was recasted for the sequel. Today, sources claim Lau has retired from the film industry. For his roles in The Lausey Show (2019) and The Grooks (2021) Lau was twice nominated for Best Actor but lost each to his co-stars Ben Griffin (2021) and Jacob Rook (2022).
