Biography

Alex, a make the most out of every experience kind of person, is a self-taught film director with an international background, having spent his childhood in Montevideo and Buenos Aires–strongly showing in his evocative and atmospheric work. Driven by a desire to disrupt traditional narratives, his gritty, bold, and experimental style always finds a way of intertwining with deep human expressions. He calls this: “Creating Beautiful Chaos.” His work has been recognized across the world, winning “Best Director” in various festivals including Atlantic Bridge Festival (Amsterdam), AIMAFF (Athens) and BIA (Barcelona). His body of work includes his latest short “The Female Side Effect,” a dark, social critique thriller against pharmaceutical companies and the lack of studies on women’s bodies, as well as commercials for Cholas X Chulas, Once, Brujas, Skydive Puerto Rico and Tourism of Ibiza.
