Satoshi Soto is a mild mannered salesman for an advertising a promotions agency. Overlooked by his peers and disrespected by his juniors, Soto is middle-aged, unmarried, childless and stuck in a rut. After a late night visit to a convenience store he discovers Snack Kizutsuki where Toko lifts his spirits with coffee and song.

Yumi Nakata is a customer service representative at a call centre. After a stressful day dealing with a difficult customer and an evening spoiled by her thoughtless boyfriend, Yumi stumbles upon a bar named Snack Kizutsuki. The small bar is run by Ms. Toko who doesn't serve alcoholic drinks but offers home cooked meals and a place for her customers to unburden their hearts.
