The table remained unchanged at the start of Season 23, however during the show that aired on January 13th, Abby Huntsman announced she would be leaving to go help as a senior advisor on her father's Utah gubernatorial campaign. Abby's final show as permanent co-host was the Friday of that same week, January 17th.
This start of this season saw the return of the previous season's panel. However, by the end of the show's 2017-2018 run, Jedediah Bila had been replaced by political commentator Meghan McCain following Bila's abrupt exit in September 2017. Similarly, both Sara Haines and Paula Faris announced that this season would be their last, with the former moving on to co-host the network's new third hour of Good Morning America alongside Michael Strahan.
Season 19 once again saw major changes at the table, with Rosie O'Donnell, Nicole Wallace, and Rosie Perez all leaving after just a single season on the show. As their replacements, the network brought in comedian Michelle Collins and actress Candace Cameron Bure, as well as bringing back original panellist Joy Behar, following two seasons way. Former ABC News correspondent Paula Faris also joined as a weekly co-host.
The last remaining original panellist and show's creator, Barbara Walters left the show after season 17. This lead to the network once again changing things up, with only Whoopi Goldberg remaining from the previous season. Controversial panellist Rosie O'Donnell returned after 7 seasons away, and new additions included comedian Raven-Symoné, political analyst Nicolle Wallace, and actress Rosie Perez.
