Victoria rents out an office to a massage therapist, Drake, to make extra money. Drake's massage method, however, sparks suspicion in Alex, who believes that Drake is instead removing drugs from drug mules. As a result of Drake taking Burke's office, Lydia and Burke are forced into sharing their workspace. Burke uses this set-up to his advantage by claiming to have a relationship with Lydia, which assuages his wife's growing suspicion that he's gay.
When Lovespring starts falling into debt, Victoria's rival, perfectmatch.com founder Nancy, offers to help. She promises the employees anything they want, but only Victoria is aware of her true intentions of firing each staff member. After trying her hand at the stock market with Lydia's help, and failing, Victoria goes to extremes and does the unexpected to make sure Lovespring doesn't fall victim to perfectmatch.com. Meanwhile, after dominating the competition at a miniatures show, Burke announces on live television that he wants to marry his wife Figgy again and to start a family. Figgy's holding him to it, while Burke is looking for a way to get out.
Lovespring has been robbed just as the staff takes on a new client, Beatrice, who just happens to be a psychic. As she is annoying everyone with her ability, Beatrice finds out who robbed the offices. Meanwhile, Lydia spies on Phillip from a tree outside his house, only to be joined by Carl, Phillip's wife's admirer, who is doing the same thing.
