Among them is a record breaking sailor, international DJ, television icon, ironman and an AFL superstar. The magic and glamour of the ballroom has returned with the sixth series of the smash hit variety show. Ten diverse celebrities, from a sultry songstress, talented actors, professional athletes, a television journalist, to a farmer and a horticulturalist, will put their fancy footwork to the test in a live ballroom dancing competition. For the first time ever disco and other dances have been added to the dance styles performed and there will be a big twist during the series for the celebrities.

Hosted by Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger, each week the couples face a vote from the public and a vote from a panel of expert judges, with the lowest-scoring duo knocked out of the competition.
