The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame today announced that the 33rd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, is set for Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Cleveland’s historic Public Hall. The Induction Ceremony returns to Cleveland in 2018 with a series of events, including a community celebration with free admission to the Rock Hall, a dedication for the 2018 Inductee exhibit, and other rock and roll themed events and activities at the Rock Hall and throughout the City. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hosted its annual induction ceremony at Brooklyn, NY’s Barclays Center. The evening featured a string of heartfelt toasts by famous fans, star-studded reunion performances, and touching speeches by this years inductees, including Seattle rock titans Pearl Jam, legendary West Coast rapper Tupac Shakur, British prog-rock pioneers Yes, socially conscious 60’s folkie Joan Baez, English symphonic pop stars Electric Light Orchestra, and 80’s glam rock hit makers Journey. In addition, Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers was recognized as the recipient of the Award for Musical Excellence, Lenny Kravitz played a tribute to Prince, ELO opened the show with a tribute to the late Chuck Berry, and much, much more.
The 29th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony premiered on May 31. Inductees included: Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, KISS, Nirvana, Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens. Guests include: Chris Martin, Glenn Frey, Michael Stipe, Questlove, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Lorde, Carrie Underwood, Emmylou Harris, Tom Morello, Sheryl Crow and more.
