Jess performs her song about Elaine for Helen and Wendy, Jock and Dianne travel to Cadell to take in the mural of Ryan for the first time and Pimpisa reveals her sculpture of Attila to best friend Mark.

Pimpisa updates Mark on her progress, Jess rehearses her song with band and Joel completes his portrait of Ryan.

Joel arrives in Cadell and applies his first licks of paint, Pimpisa continues working on her sculpture and Jess reflects on the personal toll the task is taking.

Jess begins developing her song about Elaine, drawing on her own experience for inspiration. Meanwhile, Joel has finalised the plan and location for his mural of Ryan.

Pimpisa and Joel begin the process of developing their artworks, discovering personal connections to the stories of their absent subjects along the way.
