Poppy pretends to be the owner of a special Woodland Ranger badge, which makes her in charge of Wildwoods. When Cooper decides he would like one too, Poppy invents a bogus test that he must pass a test to win one. After the hardest test ever, Cooper isn't impressed when he finds out that Poppy has made the whole thing up.

A rapidly escalating argument between Cooper and Poppy causes them to have a huge falling out. Cooper leaves the den to find a new place to live. The two ex-friends try to enjoy their new found freedom, but quickly learn that they miss each other more than they realised. A silly argument gets out of control causing Cooper to move out of the Den.
There's a nut thief on the loose in the WildWoods and Poppy and Cooper are determined to discover who it is. They construct a 'hide' and stay up night after night, trying to uncover the culprit. When Cooper discovers that the thief is a sleepwalking Poppy, he must devise a clever way to prove it to her.
Cooper tells Poppy about the art galleries back in the big city. Poppy is intrigued and decides that she'd like to try and create some art. Poppy, it turns out, has a far more adventurous artistic streak than the more traditional Cooper. Cooper and Poppy can't agree on which style of art is better and decide to have an exhibition in the den to settle the matter.
