The U.S. women's Olympic basketball team goes on a 52-game barnstorming tour across four continents, to train for the 1996 Games and also promote the popularity of women's basketball ahead of the launch of the WNBA after the Olympics.

After the U.S. women's basketball team disappoints with a bronze medal at the 1992 Olympics, USA Basketball puts together a new team of veterans, young stars, and an unforgiving coach, giving them more than a year to prepare to chase gold in '96.
