Due to a huge gust of wind, an exotic statue ends up in Sidonia's garden that tells them about Foetsji-Island where it lost its parents. Our friends immediately go there and have to deal with Or-Ka-Han who is hunting the statue and has great storm powers. Can they bring the statue back to its parents? Wiske has a birthday and receives an old engraving of a pirate ship from Lambik. Professor Barabas arranges for the children to take a look at this pirate ship. There they find the diary of the pirate captain Blackbeard. When we got home again, our friends started reading it. To their dismay, Blackbeard imprisons the rainbow princess on an island because she did not want to marry the pirate. Sus Antigoon comes to ask our friends if they want to help him guard a singing, burning candle. When the candle is extinguished, the village of Mispelbeke falls into the hands of the Spaniards. After much insistence, Suske and Wiske are allowed to go with Sus Antigoon to defeat the enchanted wizard and save the village. Part one of five
A flying cocoon lands in the front yard of Aunt Sidonia's house. The pilot of this spaceship is a hairy caterpillar-like creature and comes from the planet Kokonera. A meteorite has crashed on her planet and turns all the flowers into gold. The mini-lots now have no food, because the honey they get from the flowers is not available. Suske, Wiske, Lambik and Jerom immediately go to Kokonera with the mini-lot to destroy the meteorite, not knowing that Dr. Krimson, the archenemy of our friends, is on board together with his accomplices.
