But Sára reassures everyone: it wasn't real. Dr. Újváry diagnoses the mayor's wife with a heart attack she walked off. After the examination, they drink herbal tea, and Manyika walks in on their kiss, so soon the theater is abuzz with rumors of their affair. Boday raises money again: he rents out the theater for a week-long medical congress and even agrees to host a gala performance. However, Olga, the main organizer, rearranges the overly serious event during the process. The theater company ends the season with a company meeting.
The Ujváris return from Singapore tired but happy. The peace is only apparent: the next day, Hilda announces that she is leaving the city for a new engagement. Varga presents Klári with a difficult choice: he has been invited to the theater in Syracuse, but alone. Éva accidentally enters Karcsi's dressing room. They leave the theater together. Radocsay, due to the evening's premiere, rushes through the surrounding villages with his variety show. To "celebrate" the premiere, tough guys arrive in the parking lot. Fortunately, Lopai reveals their plan in time, so Jenci and his friends can rush to the theater's aid. The last guest arrives after the premiere: the mayor's wife comes to congratulate the newly elected director: Boday.
The decision of the mayor's wife brings another strange twist to the management of the theater. Life goes on. Due to an accidental or deliberate mishap, the 'Gül Baba' set is destroyed, forcing the premiere to be postponed. Following Schultheisz's great idea, there will still be a premiere, albeit not of 'Gül Baba.' While everyone in the theater is mobilizing their last reserves, in the parking lot, Gizike heroically fends off the hooligans damaging the theater's car. Ujvári and his wife, Szilvai Hilda, leave for Singapore.
One of the theater's artists, Mártonffy, is caught in a department store theft. It turns out to be a provocation aimed at putting Director Boday in an impossible situation. Under the direction of Keserű, the main director, rehearsals for 'Gül Baba' are in full swing. Unfortunately, not without hitches, as the two young leads have had a falling out. The reason: Káli Győző, the affluent entrepreneur, has set his sights on the beautiful Julika. Uncle Misi once again joins the fray. A significant event in the city is the children's dance competition, where Gizike, the dresser's daughter, Annácska, is one of the favorites. Zoli Kristóf wants to reclaim his roles. His sister, Amália, also appears in the city. The committee convenes to evaluate the applications for the directorial position. Dr. Újváry, motivated by jealousy, no longer supports Boday.
A new face appears among those applying for the theater: the wealthy Káli Győző. He finds supporters within the company as well. The rehearsals for 'Gül Baba' are underway. Boday strives to keep the company together, while the opposition resorts to increasingly unscrupulous methods.
Boday entrusts the direction of 'Gül Baba' to Keserű, thereby making more enemies. The young people temporarily fall out, but thanks to Uncle Misi's intervention, they soon make up. Zoli Kristóf is recuperating in Budapest under the supervision of Nurse Kardos. Tihanyi, Mayer, and Radocsay continue their scheming against Boday.

The new director launches a dubbing studio, but Uncle Misi gets into big trouble. The program changes due to many financial reasons. The mayor's wife's secret is revealed.
The new director gets acquainted with the building, the company, and the city. The theater's main director is still away, directing in Finland. Lajos Varga, the technical director's wife, is expecting a baby every hour. Two young actors find each other: but love permeates the entire theater.
The director of the theater in a large provincial city dies unexpectedly. Since it is the middle of the season, the city's leader asks Boday Balázs to take over the management. On the day of the funeral, the theater company eagerly awaits their new boss. Meanwhile, the lead actor of one of the ongoing plays has an accident and has to miss that day's performance, but luckily, the 'new broom sweeps clean'...
