We finish our epic road trip around Victoria on the biggest high in the great city of Geelong. Annie Louey spends the night at the Piano Bar Geelong helping out with a round of drag bingo, then we take a sail on the Geelong harbour with the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, taste some fresh mussel on the pier and finish it all off with a ride in the giant sky wheel.

On the latest episode of Rediscover Victoria Annie Louey’s off to Bendigo and Castlemaine. First up we seek enlightenment at the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion and then it’s on to the Bendigo Joss House Temple to ask for some good fortune. Finally, we finish things off at The Mill Castlemaine eating strudel and searching for some thrift store bargains.
It’s episode 6 and we are over halfway through our epic Victorian road trip! This episode Annie Louey spends the morning in the magnificent Wilsons Promontory National Park before heading to Foster to taste some very unique cider at Gurneys Cider and then it is on to Blue Tree Honey Farm to get up close and personal with some bees. Finally, we ferry Harriette the Kombi across Port Phillip in preparation for our next leg in the Western part of the state.
This episode kicks off our three episode journey through South Gippsland starting at Bass River Winery in Glen Forbes. Then it’s onto Kilcunda to taste some of Victoria’s finest produce at the Kilcunda Ocean View Hotel. And finally, we make our way to Phillip Island to visit Seal Rock and watch the penguin Parade at twilight.
On this week’s episode of Rediscover Victoria we continue our road trip through the top end of the state. Annie Louey departs Koonoomoo for an Art Tour in the Winton Wetlands. From here it’s a quick drive to Glenrowan, also known as Kelly Country to visit the Ned Kelly Memorial Museum. After that, we head east to picturesque Bright for a bike ride courtesy of Cyclepath Bright before tasting some gin at Reed & Co Distillery. And finally we top it all off with at nights stay at The Yurt Alpine Retreat in the King Valley.
It’s time to hit the road in our beloved vintage Kombi Harriet. Annie departs Melbourne and makes her way to Tahbilk on the banks of the Goulburn River. From here we head north to pay a visit to the Bangerang Cultural Centre. After a night in Shepparton, its off to Cactus Country before ending our very first episode at the Big Strawberry in Koonoomoo. Now that’s how you kick off a road trip!
