Richard Taylor Executive Air
February 19, 2003 • 30m

Richard is the new kid on the airline block interviewing cabin crew for his luxury short-haul carrier Richard Taylor Executive Air. The interview is in group form, with each member encouraged to show they are a team player. This episode sees the candidates handle a number of real-life situations including a messy case of air sickness and a passenger who comes from the place below hell. To lighten the mood, the team get together to do a choreographed version of the flight safety announcement, all to the tune of the smash Austrian disco hit Hey Baby by DJ Otzi.

Taylor's Preparatory School
February 12, 2003 • 30m

Richard poses as Headmaster of Taylor's Preparatory School to interview would-be teachers. He is looking for teachers who can push these privileged pupils to be the best. This involves various hellish exercises including marking, in which the candidates are encouraged to look at the weak points of Shakespeare and see where Michaelangelo could have done better. A tour of the staff room with its foam replica pupil, swearword wall and a machine for shouting practise is the culmination of a rollercoaster ride that would turn the education secretary's knuckles white.

Event Organiser
February 5, 2003 • 30m

Event organiser extraordinaire Richard Taylor is looking for a bubbly, beautiful team of people to sip champagne, schmooze and massage egos when he's not there. At the same time as hosting a 'real' party for TV presenter Lisa Rogers, Richard conducts the interviews upstairs where the wannabe party animals try to convince him that they can handle the Jay Kays and the Noel Gallaghers of this distinctly shallow world. They hit the real party, show off their schmoozing skills and try to get phone numbers and make contacts.

The Richard Taylor Pub Company
January 29, 2003 • 30m

In this episode, Richard is a pub entrepreneur interviewing couples to help run his new chain of boozers. The Richard Taylor Pub Company believes the customer should be made to feel good - which is why the candidates must ignore the jealousy of their partners by flirting with a beautiful stranger. The would-be managers are also asked to recount their last fight, to ensure that they have a solid relationship, handle a paralytic drunk and judge whether three guinea pigs are underage.

Taylor Elite Security
January 22, 2003 • 30m

Richard is interviewing for brave and intelligent men to be part of Taylor Elite Security, which specialises in doormen, surveillance teams and bodyguards to the stars. He conducts a very practical set of interviews in his Newcastle office. Can you scare people with your face? Could you tolerate constant verbal abuse from the public? Richard tries it on, and in some cases, finds their elastic limit. The interviews reach a crescendo as Richard and candidates take to the streets and try out some close protection skills on an unsuspecting Newcastle public.

Atkins and Sons
January 15, 2003 • 30m

In this episode, job applicants are all top graduates keen to join Richard in telling companies how to work smarter. Each candidate must tell a fictional Mr Atkins of Atkins and Son that he must halve his workforce. Only problem is the company is just him and his son. To show they've got what it takes, these chaps are also required to see the business metaphor in a banana. As Richard's approach to business ideas is often very physical, candidates should perhaps have thought twice when invited to think inside the box.
