Michelle heads to the bistro to hand over the keys to the new owner, but when the mystery buyer turns out to be Ray, she sets about smashing up the place. Elsewhere, Ali reveals that he's told the police about Gary's secret life as a loan shark, and a mortified Fiz confesses to Tyrone and Jade how she bought a gun for the shop, and it was then stolen.
Gary's stunned to find the furniture shop door open, and the gun and its ammunition missing. A worse-for-wear Derek lurches into the Rovers looking for Windass, pulls out a gun and fires a shot. Shona's plan for David's treasure hunt is soon forgotten when she and the Platts find themselves in the middle of a shootout. And while Seb comes to a decision about his future with Emma, Michelle puts her affairs in order as she makes plans to leave Weatherfield.
Gary frees Derek from his bonds, and Fiz calls at the furniture shop to drop off items from a house clearance, including a live antique gun. In the Rovers, a drunk Ali vows to win back Maria and see Gary get his comeuppance. Elsewhere, Marion rails at Shona and David for banning Max from seeing her.
Gary lies to Maria that Derek ran into financial trouble, so he swooped in to save the factory and the workers' jobs. Later, he locks a tied-up Derek in the furniture shop overnight, determined to make sure he misses his flight to Florida with his kids. Fiz and Tyrone find Jade on Victoria Street and drag her back to No 9 and, while Rita decorates her tree alone, Emma informs Seb that Alina came looking for him.
Nick and Sarah unveil the refurbished factory to the staff, keeping quiet about Derek's change of heart, while Sean reveals to an appalled Fiz that Jade is living on the streets. Rita tells Gemma she has arranged to visit Mavis over Christmas, despite the fact she has no plans to go anywhere. Emma and Seb become a couple, but will Alina ruin their romance?
Steve gets some good news. Adam advises Michelle to drop her plan to take the Bistro from Robert. She fumes when Robert lets slip he’s told Vicky about Ryan. When Fiz hears Hope is allowed to return to Bessie Street, she tells Jade that she’s no longer needed... Roy pushes Richard’s carer to quit because of her poor timekeeping.
Simon helps Peter in his quest to find Carla, and Rita offers an alternative explanation for Gemma's symptoms. Meanwhile, Kirk considers pursuing a music career.Gary meets a familiar face on his first day collecting debts, and Chesney and Gemma's caravan holiday starts badly. Meanwhile, Michelle lashes out at Robert.
Kate dismisses Rana's doubts about proceeding with their nuptials. Carla admits to Peter that she knew the roof was unsafe. David suspects Nick of an insurance scam. Robert returns but remains evasive about his absence, and Wayne and Brian provide Roy with a promising lead. Meanwhile, Gary finds the gate of the builder's yard unlocked.
Sally lies unconscious in the debris of the fallen factory roof. Tim and Abi rush to the aid of the wounded protesters. Rana explains to Kate her reason for the delay. Michelle's praise spurs Ali into action, and Wayne offers to assist Roy with his research. Meanwhile, Sarah threatens to dump Gary if he keeps quiet about the Underworld roof.
As Kate talks to Rana on the phone she's insistent they can still go ahead with their union. Will the couple get to exchange the vows that mean so much to them? Stood outside the ruins of the factory Carla's consumed with guilt. A devastated Carla reveals that she knew the roof was unsafe but chose to ignore it. As news of a death inside the factory is delivered Carla breaks down. Elsewhere, David confronts Nick, wondering if he's to blame for the factory collapse and if he was intending to pull an insurance scam.
As Sally lies unconscious, trapped under the falling debris, the bodies of the protestors can be seen slumped next to each other as water from a burst pipe seeps across the floor towards a live power cable. Tim, Abi and Tyrone force their way into the factory to help before emergency services arrive to search for survivors. Suddenly a loud noise signals the last section of the roof collapsing as debris rains in on those still trapped. Elsewhere, at the wedding venue a nervous Kate paces up and down as she waits for Rana, wondering if she's had a change of heart. A phone call from Rana explains everything, will the wedding go ahead?
Amy is horrified when the nurse explains that at this late stage she will need a surgical termination. In front of Peter, Tracy accuses Simon of getting Amy pregnant, while Tyrone finds out that Evelyn failed to show up for bingo and forgot to collect Ruby from school. Desperate for some cash, Gary phones his old mate Joe.
Tracy tries the softly-softly approach with Amy, gently quizzing her about the father of her baby. Amy assures her it was consensual sex that took place at a party before Christmas. Gary's gutted to hear that he's lost out on the contract for Audrey's house as she's had a cheaper quote, and Roy and Carla reminisce about Hayley over lunch in the bistro.
Convincing her she needs to speak to her mum and dad, Liz takes a nervous Amy home. While Tracy remains calm, Steve flies off the handle and goes storming into the corner shop to accuse Aadi of getting Amy pregnant. Audrey tells Gary she would like him to fix the dry rot in her house, and Roy returns home to find Carla giving a description of him to the police.
Amy bunks off school and attends a family planning clinic, explaining to the nurse she's pregnant and needs the abortion pill. When the nurse insists she must discuss her situation with an adult first, Amy leaves upset. Audrey explains to Gail and David that the dry rot is much worse than she thought - the floor has collapsed and she'll have to move out.
