Misa goes to Daimon Village, hidden in the countryside, to find clues about who orchestrated the trial against her and in hopes of finding her sister Anri's whereabouts. Upon arriving, she saves a girl from being killed by a mysterious assassin, but soon Misa realizes that the girl follows a strange religion.
During another difficult night, Misa suffers from a nightmare from a year ago, when a mysterious man appeared at the door of her house, and after that, her sister disappeared and her parents were turned into wooden dolls. (*This episode was allegedly not broadcast during its original airing on TV Osaka, being officially aired only in reruns in the Kansai region and officially released only on DVD and LaserDisc, not included in the versions made available at rental stores at the time.)
When attacked by a man with a knife in the subway, Misa defends herself and nullifies the manipulation that controlled the man’s body. Not believing what she says, the police arrest her and take her to trial for his murder. The situation becomes more complicated when a certain person appears to give testimony about Misa.
With her powers partially sealed, Misa faces difficulties in finding those responsible for the murders occurring within the group of girls. But when she identifies the magic pattern being formed, she manages to get closer to the one responsible for all the cruelty. (*Due to the themes represented in this arc, the series was allegedly canceled on TV Tokyo, the original broadcaster, following a mass murder crime involving teenagers that received significant media attention in Kobe at the time. Subsequent episodes were only aired on TV Osaka and its affiliates.)
Kazue shows her friends that an orange stain appeared in a photo with them, including Misa. It seems strange, but Misa initially doesn't notice anything wrong. When Kazue mysteriously dies and a new stain appears in Yukari's photo, Misa is sure that something very sinister is happening around her and her friends.
Maya participates in paid meetings with older men in exchange for gifts and, along with Keiko, tries to encourage her friend Eri to join this world too. When Eri arranges a meeting with a man, Maya shows up beforehand to steal him, and it is soon discovered that he was murdered. Observing these events, Misa, who had transferred to the same school, begins to take action to investigate this problem.
After a night of nightmares, Misa remembers her father and mother, who sacrificed themselves so that she could learn what she knows about magic. Misa and her friends go to teacher Naomi’s house to meet her fiancé, Tatsuhiko Sawaki. There, Misa discovers that he possesses a mysterious Egyptian ankh and that he has a macabre interest in her Silver Needle pendant. Misa then races against time and the trust of everyone to save the teacher and her friends from a dangerous ritual.
