Teck drawing inspiration from a dream, creates a mouth-watering dish aptly called 'Teck Mee', which is welcomed by all, convincing Teck to take part in the Bishan Communiy Centre Cooking competition. The trust between Yusof and Teck breaks when Teck reveals a deep, dark secret from Yusof's past and Yusof enters the cooking competition hoping to get even with Teck by beating him at the contest. Meanwhile, Dolly has been bringing Denise lunch and cleaning up the place at the Counseling Centre which Denise is still able to tolerate until Dolly starts assisting Denise with her counseling. Ronnie, on the other hand is on an all time high. He thinks he has found the perfect woman but there's a slight glitch - she absolutely forbids him to even peek at another woman. Will Ronnie be able to do it?

Teck's been especially grumpy of late and complains about every little thing Dolly does wrong. Dolly feels unappreciated in spite of all she does to keep Teck and the children happy. Daisy thinks she knows how to alert Teck to Dolly's plight. When Denise has a new admirer in the form of one of the guys she's counseling. Ronnie tells her to be on guard as he's sure everyone who goes to the counseling centre is a pyscho. Meanwhile Ronnie has started a website that gives advice on how to get revenge called geteven.com. Business is so good that he hires Paul to work for his website until things take a wrong turn - one of Paul's clients wants to get rid of Ronnie.

The Bully

When a bully at his stall beat up Yusof, he decides to take karate lessons with Teck. His over-eagerness gets him into trouble when he decides to confront the bully only after a few classes and is beaten to a pulp again. Unhappily forced into taking karate, Paul finds himself falling for one of the students in the class, Wendy. Ronnie advises him to go for it, but Paul is unsure, until Wendy makes the first move.

The Rival

Dolly is still trying to get used to the new Paul who was once neat, clean and hygienic and is now unwashed, grubby and a fatty food connoisseur. So pleased with his new persona, that Paul intends to send photos of himself to Anita. When a new stallholder decides to sell mee rebus, Yusof and Johari expect the new stallholder to close shop within a month, until they discover that the new stallholder is a she and a very pretty and sweet she at that. Soon falling for her charms, they find themselves helping out at their rival's store more than their own. Meanwhile, no one believes Ronnie when he says he's been dating Eunice Olsen from the Wheel of Fortune and he has to go to great lengths to prove that he's telling the truth.

The Couch Potato

Everything seems to be going smoothly for Dolly when she gets to shoot the pilot of her new cooking show and Carlos, the network executive is full of nothing but high praise for her. However, he decides to make one minor change to the show - he makes Dolly dress like a porn star! In the meantime, Paul hits the reverse gear and shocks everyone by throwing away his pills and vitamins, eating fatty greasy food and not bathing. Denise's suspicious behaviour leads Michael and Ronnie to think that she might be contemplating suicide as a result of her break up with Liam.

The Pitch

Teck's still got the TV bug and is constantly criticizing the performances of anyone he watches on TV. Ronnie and Michael egg him on and tell him he's perfect as the host of his own food show. Together with Dolly they pitch the idea of the food show to the TV network. Dolly is so excited by the idea that she joins in during the pitch. Carlos the network executive is so taken by Dolly's charm and enthusiasm that he makes her the host of the show and not Teck! Anita is really taking to life in Perth and this upsets Paul. Michael insinuates that she may be having too good a time there and suggests Paul take revenge. Pretty soon Paul turns into a party animal. Denise returns from Scotland with the surprising news that she's broken up with Liam. There's an even bigger shock for her family when she starts dressing in an ultra-sexy way and dates four guys at the same time.

The Celebrity

Like most 'new-born' celebrities, Ah Teck's head swells as the ratings for his program skyrocket; making him difficult to be around with. Dolly, who has been the victim of Ah Teck's swollen head decides to take drastic measures to straighten him out. Ronnie signs up for a Talent Competition at the Esplanade after persuading Paul (using Anita as a bone-hitter) and Yusof to join him. Ronnie believes that the combination of their skills; Paul's operatic flair, Yusof kompang skill and his 'sex appeal' will unequivocally put the First Prize in their hands.

The TV Star

The small flat in Bishan soon turns to Hollywood when Ah Teck hits stardom with his Wong Brothers stories, by being a storyteller on a children's TV programme. Dolly, the ever-supportive wife ends up being his free personal assistant. With Dad being busy with his newfound fame, Ronnie seizes the opportunity to run the minimart: and needless to say, it prove disastrous. Paul gets frustrated and unable to deal with the situation even denies the fact that he's married when Anita informs him that she's found work there and will be extending her stay in Perth.

The Stayer

Minimart owner turn author - Ah Teck, encouraged by the 'overwhelming' response to his Wong Brothers stories, wants to make a compilation of the stories into a book. Ronnie, probably inspired by Larry Flynt, volunteers to market the book with the idea of using sex as a marketing tool. Denise has a lot of convincing to do when her decision to move in with Liam meets with strong contention from Ah Teck and Dolly. Ronnie playing the devil's advocate, pleads for Denise.

The Hug

After coming clean with her mother-in-law, and with the poor business, Anita is thinking of migrating to Australia. Paul, on the other hand, isn't too keen on the idea while Ronnie, thinks that the underlying reason for Anita's decision lies in Paul's poor bedroom techniques. Denise and Liam are spending a lot of time together. If a day had 28 hours, they would be spending 29 hours together. However, their time together keeps getting interrupted by the rest of the Tan household. Taking measures of the situation, they find the weirdest of places to 'spend time'.

The Lie
January 1, 2003

The lie - Yes, the poor economic conditions have not spared even our Ah Teck who, as a result, is feeling alittle on the downside. Yusof on the other hand, is high in spirit with the recent increase of people eating his mee rebus. His recent purchase of a new car brought his spirits even higher. However, Ah Teck soon snaps out of his depressive state when he finds himself hitting the right keys with the kids at the community centre with his Wong Brothers stories. This sudden change of mood leaves everyone wondering - could Dad be seeing another woman? On the married front, Paul and Anita have to come clean when Dolly's excitement over her unborn grandchild is escalating. At the same time, Denise and Liam are taking their relationship seriously, and Denise is even thinking of going for a holiday with Liam though she's sure she would meet with strong objection from her conservative parents. And Ronnie's advice to her? Lie.
