Gen insists on finishing her vacation by going to Salzburg despite her mother's urging for her to go home. Before leaving Vienna, Gen stops by Jakey's place to formally end things with him. As she arrives at the train station, she crosses paths with Leon again. Leon takes Gen to his clients' gallery. There, they meet the owners Tala, a Filipina married to an Austrian, Henrik. While having a snack, Gen and Leon learn about Henrik and Tanya's love story. Moments later, fire suddenly breaks out in the gallery. Gen finds Leon frozen while the gallery is engulfed in fire and pulls him out to safety. A delirious Leon keeps apologizing to his mother. As Leon finally wakes up, he breaksdown in tears as he remembers his mother who died in the fire while trying to save his painting. Gen consoles Leon and they end up making love.
Aboard the Wiener Riesenrad ferris wheel, Leon joins Gen in screaming out her frustrations on Jakey. As they keep each other company, Leon and Gen open up more to each other. Gen and Leon visit more tourist spots in Vienna including a legendary tower. However, Leon notices that they are being followed. As they are suddenly chased by goons, Gen and Leon manage to get on a tram just before the men could catch them. Leon tells Gen that the men after them are the ones Fred owed money to. As they reach Leon's place, they find his apartment ransacked and his savings gone. Police say that their apartment was robbed but Leon soon finds out that Fred purposely let the men in. Leon is outraged and vents his anger on Fred, nearly killing the latter.
A hesitant Leon still goes along with Gen's plan. After hitting Jakey, Gen suddenly has a change of heart and asks Leon and Fred to let go of her ex-boyfriend. At a nearby bar, Gen loses control and ends up in a passionate kiss with Leon. For the first time, Leon picks up Epong's phone call. After his emotional stepfather urged him to go back home, Leon recollects how he overlooked Rosario's request to fix a broken circuit in their house which led to her demise. While Gen starts her day with a clearer perspective, Leon is noticeably distracted in his work. Later on, Gen meets with Leon to apologize and suddenly invites him to spend the day with her.
Genevieve, who irritably blames Leon for their predicament, breaks down in tears upon relating her situation to the police officers. Later that night, she offers to treat Leon's wounds. After getting the green light to take her leave, Genevieve pretends to be Leon's girlfriend so the latter may be released, as well. Leon helps Gen in getting directions, but he ends up accompanying her to where she wants to go. After recalling her abrupt breakup with Jakey, Gen refuses to enter the building and asks Leon instead to lead her the way to her friend's apartment, which turns out to be the same place where Leon dwells. Upon getting to his room, Leon gets teary-eyed listening to Epong's voice message and recollects how Edward urged him to stop blaming himself for his mother's death. While Leon confronts Fred after the loan sharks pose a threat on him again, Lala advises Gen to stay away from Leon.
After running away from a syndicate in Vienna with his friend Fred, Leon recalls his childhood where his stepfather's accident led him to meeting Edward Pierro, a business tycoon who became an instant fan of his artworks. Years pass and Edward continues to hone Leon's architectural skills. Leon becomes a successful architect but has little time for his family. He even ignores a call from his mother asking to see him. After a successful presentation, Leon learns that there was a fire in their home resulting to the death of his mother. Back in Vienna, a drunk Leon bumps into Genevieve who travelled long distance to follow her fiance only to find him with another woman. Leon and Genevieve eventually both end up by the same fountain where they soon have an argument. Due to a misunderstanding, Leon and Genevieve end up getting arrested by the cops.
