It’s Sunday Funday once again, and this time Nate is surrounded by his friends and feeling great. Inevitably, reality smacks him hard in the face but not before Mick injects the possibility of a new beginning.
After a promising interview, Nate feels a rare rush of positivity and recruits Andy to visit Joey at his Stranger Twinks kickball practice to put their breakup behind them once and for all.
Stuck in a rut, Nate and Nicole each have dates planned to reinvigorate their lives. Nate hopes to reconnect with an old flame while Nicole pursues an old friendship for a job lead.
In a flashback to the morning after Nate and Jeff hook up, Jeff finds comfort in his roommate Louis and new friend Zachary, who might turn out to be more than just a friend.
Nicole finds herself forced back to L.A. much to Nate’s delight. News of Jeff’s mother’s condition worsening reaches Nate, and he makes the decision to reach out and force his way back into Jeff’s life.
When it comes time for Sunday Funday, Nate finds himself without a companion. Jeff is busy with his roommate trying to move on, while Joey is living it up with his kickball team, happy in his life without Nate.
In the season 2 premiere, Nate is approached by a bubbly newcomer, Mick. Andy and Brian explore their open relationship and attend a sex party together, which ends in a way neither of them suspected.
